Astonishing Grace

In Matthew 9:9–17, Pastor Tyler Wittmer explores Jesus’ call to Matthew and His radical welcome of sinners. Jesus doesn’t wait for Matthew to clean up his life—He simply says, “Follow me.” Through Matthew’s story, Jesus’ words about mercy, and the picture of the bridegroom, we’re reminded that God’s grace is not earned through religious performance or self-righteousness. Jesus came for those who recognize their need for mercy.
