Mission Statement
Center Point Church exists to be and make disciples that treasure Christ together.
Cultural Statements
We preach God’s Word.
At Center Point Church we preach from the scriptures, verse by verse, and desire to give the full counsel of God’s Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We care about local people and local places.
We believe that Jesus cared about Local people and Local places (Matthew 9:35-38). We believe that every community should have a church that desires to be and make disciples of Jesus together. That is true of Northern Kentucky, and Niger, and in every tribe, tongue and nation. Our desire is to plant and revitalize churches locally and globally, and to partner with like minded missionaries and organizations, so that communities are transformed by Jesus.
We move at the speed of relationships.
Relationships take time. Scripture calls us to be patient, gentle, and to bear with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We believe that this takes time in relationship with one another as a congregation. This means that we will prioritize relationships with one another over organizational efficiency. (Ephesians 4:1-7)
We are committed to knowing and being known.
God has eternally existed in loving relationship between God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We are made in God’s image. God made us to be in community with him and with one another. At Center Point we want people to know God and to know and be known by others. Community matters.
We believe a commitment to a local body of believers matters.
We believe that committing to the local church is pivotal in the life of a follower of Jesus. The New Testament assumes that believers in Jesus are gathering together locally to be and make disciples. Commitment to a local body allows leaders to shepherd well and provides opportunity to use our God given gifts and talents for the good of one another and our community.
We are a people who pray.
The sovereign God of the universe who created and sustains all things invites us to regularly communicate with him! We desire to be a people who regularly pray with and for one another.
We keep things simple.
Being and making disciples that treasure Christ together. Preaching God’s Word, Community, Discipleship, Care. We want to keep our ministry efforts focused on doing a few things well.
